After this elderly woman assaulted cabin crew members during a flight to Rhodes, the plane had to make an emergency landing in Munich to allow police to remove her.

The flight from Manchester to Rhodes on August 24th saw a passenger allegedly having a few too many drinks and displaying aggressive behaviour, with footage showing her standing up and throwing her fist into a cabin crew member's head.

Before the video began, the cameraperson claimed that the older woman had ordered a gin and tonic which lead to slurry of insults directed at other passengers, including name calling them 'Plebs' and shouting 'F*** off' when confronted.

The drink was then apprehended which provoked more anti-social behaviour, including trying to open the plane door whilst the aircraft was in the air.

Other passengers and flight crew members had to restrain the passenger much to their dismay.

The woman then stood up and punched the staff member several times which meant the plane had to land at the next available opportunity.

Police then removed the passenger from the plane whilst holding in Munich.

The cameraperson said: "A woman asked for free champagne but Jet 2 don’t supply that. She then had a gin and tonic but became aggressive. The staff then removed the gin and tonic which made her worse, she was verbally abusing the people in-front of her calling them “plebs” and telling them to “f*** off”.

"She got up and tried to open the doors to get off the plane mid flight.

"She was sat back down but kept getting up and punching the staff. She was restrained by two male passengers and then was escorted off by police, paramedics and fire and rescue in Munich airport.

"Myself and everyone was shocked at this behaviour especially from an elderly woman. There were kids on the plane that didn’t need to see this behaviour.

"I would like to say that Jet 2 handed the situation very well and they gave complementary drinks to everyone! They had us back in the air in two hours."
