Newly discovered dinosaur footprints from approximately 113 million years ago have unearthed themselves in Glen Rose, Texas, after severe drought conditions dried up a riverbed.

Dinosaur State Valley Park have claimed that the footprints belong to Acrocanthosaurus, a creature standing about 15 feet tall and close to seven tons in weight.

This summer's blistering heat conditions made way for the footprints to be discovered that would have otherwise been veiled by water and sediment in the holes but as the body of water dried up, the ancient prints revealed themselves.
