The protests come a day after six women were convicted of criminal damage for smashing the windows of a Barclays bank in the UK's capital.

Extinction Rebellion Doctors, a group of actual doctors and medical professionals, staged a demonstration outside Barclays on Tottenham Court Road in protest against the bank’s continuing financing of fossil fuels. Earlier in the day, a different group of activists spray-painted ‘Climate Criminals’ and stuck ‘in case of climate emergency break glass’ stickers on the window in response to yesterday’s verdict about the activist women who smashed Barclays windows.
