A shooting in a shopping mall in El Paso, US state of Texas, killed one person and injured three. The incident took place at the Cielo Vista Mall shopping centre, adjacent to a Walmart where a racist shooting attack killed 23 people in 2019.

Two injured males were brought to the hospital in critical condition.

It has been reported that two people were taken into custody following the shooting.

Interim police chief Peter Pacillas said that there is currently no danger to the public.
