Ukraine supporters troll Russian Embassy in London by painting road yellow and blue

Activists staged a protest outside the Russian Embassy in London on Thursday (February 23) by covering the road in yellow and blue paint, representing the Ukraine flag.

The video shows protesters from the Led By Donkeys group spilling the first drops of yellow paint onto Notting Hill Gate and Bayswater Road, which are the roads outside the gates to the Russian Embassy.

Two protesters have wheelbarrows full of yellow paint and are wearing yellow overalls. They cross the road into the traffic, and move into the road and start spilling yellow paint onto the road, by tipping the wheelbarrows down onto the road.

Two other protesters follow by sweeping the yellow paint further onto the road using wooden broomsticks.

Vehicles held at the traffic lights start honking their horns in anger and frustration, as a woman with a sign printed "DRIVE SLOWLY" and below in smaller text saying "WASHABLE PAINT."

The woman says to a van driver honking their horn "Five minutes! It'll literally be five minutes!"

The video then cuts to a final shot of the remaining protesters sweeping the paint along the road, with members of the public watching on.

London's Metropolitan Police said three men and one woman were taken into custody, UK media reported.

February 24 marked a year since Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Led By Donkeys began in 2018 as an anti-Brexit group.
