The video shows Palestinian man Jihad Al-Najaa scooping a handful of Azolla aquatic ferns grown at his farm, in Khirbet Susya, south of the West Bank city of Hebron.

Al-Najaa is cultivating the Azolla plant due to soaring prices of animal feed. The plant has enormous potential as a livestock feed due to its high vitamin, protein, and amino acid content, in addition to its ability to grow without requiring inorganic nitrogen fertilisation.
