This curious sea turtle attempted to bite the camera after it followed a group of divers off the coast of Makadi Bay, Egypt.

Footage shows the marine reptile swimming around the humans before turning its attention to the camera.

The filmer said: "A sea turtle suddenly showed up and followed us. The turtle was very curious and swum very close to us divers. It inspected our equipment and checked out every diver.

"After a few minutes, it noticed me with my underwater camera. The turtle came closer and closer until it tried to bite my camera."

This clip was filmed in November 2010.

We were diving in a group off the coast of Makadi Bay Hurghada in Egypt.
