Group treks through WALLS of snow in California to reach their favourite sushi spot
This video shows a group traveling through walls of snow caused by a brutal winter storm in Truckee, California, to get food at their favourite sushi restaurant.
Kris Sailor filmed as the group embarking on the trek from their house to the Japanese restaurant in Truckee - despite the HUGE piles of snow surrounding them.
The hugh banks of snow can be seen towering above the people in the video and slowly falling as they walk past.
Individuals in the video can be heard cheering as they start their journey.
But their joy then turns to concern as they walk through the blizzard - with scores of 'oh my god' and 'oh no' being shouted.
Kris captioned the video: 'Called my fave sushi spot in Truckee and they were open so I had to send it!'
The severe weather conditions have battered California since last week, blanketing the sunny state with an unusual amount of snow.
California Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency for 13 counties as more than 51,000 have been left without power.
Many residents have reported being 'trapped' in their homes and are suffering with the consequences of frozen pipes and food shortages.
