Incredible car crash at Cincinnati gas station

After his car crashed into a Cincinnati, Ohio, gas station, flipping over twice and landing on top of a bus stop, the driver had a simple — but somewhat puzzling — response.

He hailed a taxi.

The driver did this after climbing out the passenger window, seemingly unharmed from the horrific crash. The taxi, which just happened to be driving past, stopped but for some reason the man could not get into the car and as it started to drive off he seemed to be holding on to the door.

The incident happened in 2013 at the GPX Gas and Phone Exchange in the College Hill neighborhood of Cincinnati.

Thanaa Bassette, the owner of the gas station, said that neither the driver nor the taxi driver has been seen since the crash, and that she is working with the police.

The crash did $5,000 worth of damage to her gas station, Bassette said. She added that she was also robbed this morning, but it was unclear whether the two incidents were related.

The Cincinnati Police Department said the investigation is ongoing, and the matter is being handled by the traffic unit.
