At a Target store in Jacksonville, Florida, Madison Klein was walking through the parking lot when she overheard a woman say that there was an alligator in the sewer.

In February, Madison approached the sewer grain and poked her camera into the dark drain at which point the alligator was revealed, alive but belly up.

Alligators are common in the Florida area but to see one in a sewer of a parking was extremely uncommon.

The Jacksonville Wildlife Control were contacted to remove the reptile.

The video was posted online where over seven million people watched the weird sighting on TikTok.

Madison said: "In the video you’ll see me approaching a sewage drain in the target parking lot and inside is a pretty decent size alligator just sitting there down below.

"I was curious and took a peek and wow there it was, both my boyfriend and I were shocked to see it!"
