The current president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, won the presidential elections in Turkey. With the election victory, Erdogan supporters, especially the AK Party, took to the streets. Thousands of people gathered in Uskudar, the stronghold of the AK Party in Istanbul, formed convoys with their cars, and some people danced. Erdogan was competing with the Republican People's Party leader Kemal Kılıcdaroglu in the election.
