My Alaskan Malamutes started howling in formation as if to announce summer solstice
Our 3 Alaskan Malamutes Sojou 5.5 yrs (grey female), Fish 2.5 yrs (red male) and Dotty 1.5 yrs( black & white female) who is also Sojou's daughter are so connected to their ancestors the wolves. Howling is much more meaningful for them as a pack a way of communicating, and teachings of their history . This Summer Solstice tribute was impromptu as they placed themselves in a linear formation throwing their heads back to produce intricate howling key changes. I always feel like the universe swallows me up in this magic and makes me feel connected to my beautiful Alaskan Malamutes.
