Every year at the beginning of October, the South Korean city of Chungju hosts the International Festival of World Martial Arts. Here is a report from the International Peace Martial Arts Festival. Huge Mongolian wrestlers in traditional dress take to the stage. The wrestlers are dressed in the Mongolian national costume: national boots with curved toes and a short shirt with an open chest. Mongolian wrestling has its own rituals, rules and characteristics. Wrestling uses a variety of techniques, with and without grappling.
