ROK Air Force And United States Air Force Fighters Train Together In South Korea

The Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) and the United States Air Force (USAF) conducted a routine aerial training event, showcasing their combined defense capability.
The event involved the escort of a USAF B-52H Stratofortress by fighter aircraft from both air forces. Taking place on July 13, 2023, the training aimed to enhance ROK-U.S. interoperability and demonstrate their joint defense capability, rapid deployment, and extended deterrence over the Korean Peninsula.
The ROKAF and USAF have a longstanding partnership, regularly engaging in joint training events to ensure readiness and preparedness against potential threats. The training occurred amidst escalating regional tensions, with North Korea's ongoing development of nuclear capabilities.
Despite the challenges, the ROK-U.S. alliance remains steadfast in its commitment to maintaining peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and throughout the region.
