Greedy basset hound goes viral after owner discovers him sneakily devouring bag of Cheerios
This greedy basset hound was found lying on a bed tucking into a bag of Cheerios he helped himself to.
Charlie was caught red-pawed chomping down on the bag of cereal by his owner Jacquie Griffith, who posted the clip to TikTok where it racked up 2 million views.
She told Newsflare: "My husband had left a bag of Cheerios on the table by his recliner instead of placing them back into the kitchen cabinet, as a man will do.
"Later in the night, Charlie found the bag. We didn't realize that Charlie had the bag in his mouth because he is always carrying a toy or something around with him. So we didn't pay any attention to what he had.
"I started hearing a noise and couldn't locate Charlie so I followed the noise which led me into our darkened bedroom to investigate and SURPRISE!
"Charlie had emptied the bag onto our bed and started munching away on his prize.
"He scored it BIG!! Mommy had to scold him but it was all in fun. Now knowing he can't resist Cheerios we will sometimes bribe him with them in order to make him move or just treat him with the cereal as praise.
"Charlie is a European basset hound weighing in at 95lbs of love and mischief."
