Rare Harry Potter proof copy goes to auction in UK

The future of an extremely rare proof copy of the first Harry Potter book ‘The Philosopher’s Stone’ is in the air after it failed to meet the reserve price at auction.
The book, which was bought for £1 by an Oxfordshire school decades ago and was mislaid for several years, went on sale at Hansons Auctioneers' Staffordshire sale room on Tuesday morning.
One of only 200 printed, it is being sold by St Kenelm’s Primary School in Minster Lovell, Oxfordshire which will now decide what to do with it.
