I usually release hundreds of monarch butterflies in the summer months collecting their eggs to ensure their journey back into the wild be successful. This year because of the heavy smog caused by raging forest fires in Norther Quebec Canada the Monarchs were not seen until now. I am seeing many newly hatched Monarchs dining on flowers making themselves ready for their long trip back to Mexico or California from my home in Montreal Quebec Canada. They are strong and vibrant in colour giving me hope that the cycle as not been broken and will continue to thrive.
