A funny video has emerged of a cat 'demanding' to be let in the house, by jumping high so he's visible in the door window to get his owner's attention.

The footage, filmed in Ukraine yesterday, shows Chaplin the Cat jumping up and down in a hilarious way in an attempt to catch his owner's eye, who is actually filming the amusing effort.

The filmer later wrote online: "During the warm season we never close the door and he can go in and out whenever he wants.

"But now that it's cold outside we only open the door for Chaplin to go to the balcony and immediately close it."

"When he's done hanging out there and wants to come back in this is how he lets us know," he continued.
