Noel Clarke arrived at the Royal Courts of Justice, London for the preliminary hearing of his libel claim against The Guardian on Thursday.
Mr Clarke is bringing legal action over The Guardian's reports of allegations that he had been accused of sexual misconduct by a number of women.
The preliminary hearing is expected to hear arguments over the ‘natural and ordinary meaning’ of the articles in the claim.
