A Jewish-led protest occupied the Oakland Federal Building in California on November 13 calling for a ceasefire in the ongoing Israel-Hamas war in Gaza.

The protesters used the controversial chant "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free", which is seen by critics as a call for the destruction of Israel and possibly even the genocide of Jews who live there.

Hundreds of protesters and their supporters also held "Jews say ceasefire now' and "Not in our name" signs and chanted "Let Gaza live!".

Jewish Voice for Peace Bay Area Chapter and IfNotNow Bay Area who organized the sit-in protest were asking President Biden and Vice President Harris to follow Oakland-Berkeley Representative Barbara Lee’s lead in calling for a ceasefire in Gaza, according to reports.
