This enthusiastic boy with autism lit up a church in Temple, Texas, with his hilarious reaction to being baptised.

Megan Downs filmed as her son Rusty, 9, was baptised by a priest on December 10.

The church bursts into laughter as Rusty carefully descends into the water saying "That's cold!"

The 9-year-old then exclaims "Heck yeah" when asked if he would accept Jesus Christ as his lord and saviour.

His mother told Newsflare: "Rusty is 9 years old and has autism. He loves the Lord in a way most people can't understand. He had been asking to be baptized for months so our church had us go through a book with him to make sure he fully understood his decision. Water, lights, and music can be overwhelming for those with autism but Rusty didn't let that stop him. He enthusiastically accepted Jesus as his lord and saviour!"
