Gas Continues Counting Without Pumping
Occurred on January 8, 2024 / Salinas, California, USA
Info from Licensor: "I was at Chevron in Prunedale at around 6 pm. This is the north rural part of Salinas, CA. I was filling up my car with gas, noticing that gas prices weren't going down much. I always fill up mid-grade. The pump stopped at $49.99. So I was going to do what any risk taker would do and try to even it out at $50.00. Then it changed to $50.00 so I turned to pull out the pump nozzle and then I noticed it was at $50.05 and I thought that was weird. I watched the numbers and they kept creeping up. At that time I recorded the display on my iPhone 11. On the video, I wanted to show that the nozzle wasn't inserted yet the numbers were still rolling. I replaced the nozzle back into the pump to stop it rolling and complete the sale."
