Amusing footage shows a woman sliding down a frozen path before falling to the ground as her daughter follows in her footsteps in a bid to rescue her.

Surveillance camera footage recorded in a family's home in the city of Dazhou, Sichuan, China, shows the mother leaving the home on January 22.

But just as she strolled out of the yard she slid down an ice-covered path while carrying a huge box in her arms. Seconds later she dropped the box, lost her balance, and fell to the ground.

Having witnessed the incident, her daughter then rushed to help her get up, butended up sliding ever further down the path instead, before suffering the same fate.

Daughter Jiang Qinglang said: 'I didn't expect that I would fall further, but my feet were faster than my brain at that time.

'Neither of us was injured, but both I and mymum thought it was pretty funny at the time.'
