A breathtaking timelapse video captured the sprawling night view of the city and the mesmerizing sunrise in China.

Filmmaker Wang Yufei climbed up the mountain at night, and upon reaching the peak, he used his camera to capture the city lights and the dawn in Taiyuan, Shanxi, China, on November 4.

Footage shows the city with its twinkling lights and dynamic skyline. The sky underwent a breathtaking transformation, evolving through various hues and shades as the sun approached.

As the sun rose on the horizon, the clouds ignited with ombre colours of orange and blue, giving a spectacular display across the sky.
