On March 4th, 2024, in Jiyuan, Henan, a girl skillfully utilized makeup techniques to transform herself into the image of a farmer from a classic Chinese card game Dou dizhu.

The game, with its name translating to "Fight the Landlord" in English, is built on the backdrop of China's land reforms in the 1950s, a period in which peasants were encouraged to take action against landlords. In the card game, two players taking on the role of farmers will team up to defeat another player as a landlord, by either of the “farmers” finishing all the cards in their hand out first. Nowadays, as the game becomes one of the most popular card games played in China, the name of it carries no negative connotation.

In the video, the girl’s makeup was elaborate and exaggerated, with thick eyebrows and deep eyeliner, along with a white towel wrapped around her head, evoking a sense of amusement in her roommates who couldn't help but burst into laughter.
