Emergency responders from the Trieste Fire Department sprang into action on April 3rd at 7:30 AM following reports of a road accident involving a truck on the RA13 Highway in the municipality of Duino-Aurisina, heading towards Venice.

Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters found a truck lodged against the center guardrail, blocking the entire overtaking lane, with its cargo spilled onto the remaining roadway. Fortunately, the truck driver had managed to exit the vehicle unharmed before their arrival.

Efforts to secure the damaged truck commenced immediately, with firefighters deploying specialized air pumps to empty the damaged fuel tank and hydraulic shears to free the truck from the guardrail debris. The intricate rescue operation also involved utilizing a crane to lift the front portion of the trailer while a roadside assistance vehicle worked to straighten the truck and return it to the lane.

Once the truck was safely upright, firefighters detached the trailer from the truck, allowing recovery personnel to transport the damaged vehicles to a nearby depot.

The meticulous efforts of the firefighting teams persisted until approximately 4:00 PM, ensuring the thorough completion of the operation.
