Qatar Airways Miami Runway Overrun - CEO Akbar Al Baker Comments
Shangri-La Hotel Sydney 03MAR16:
At a Media Conference to launch Qatar Airways' new Doha-Sydney service, Qatar CEO, His Excellency Akbar Al Baker, describes the circumstances surrounding the Miami incident and says, "this was the first time, and be rest assured, it will be the last time that Qatar Airways aircraft overrun".
The "Runway Overrun" incident occurred at Miami Airport on 16th September 2015, and involved Qatar Airways Boeing B777-3DZER Registration A7-BAC. A final report for this incident has yet to be released by the Qatar CAA.
The pilots involved have since left the company.
