“Lowrider exhibits are always a fan favorite and we are excited to open the most comprehensive lowrider exhibit in the museum’s history,” said Petersen Automotive Museum Executive Director Terry L. Karges.

Visitors will have the opportunity to see some notable attractions such as the 1958 “Final Score” Chevrolet Impala convertible and the 1957 “Double Trouble” Chevrolet Bel Air, as well as the 1958 “Dead Presidents” Chevrolet Impala, built by Albert De Alba Mr. and Albert De Alba Jr., who are among the most established and respected craftsmen in the lowrider community.

This exhibition celebrates the rich history of lowriders and will allow visitors to learn about their impact on the automotive world, culture in general, and the history of car customization,” Karges said.

The exhibition that will occupy the Mullin Grand Salon will also include bicycles, motorcycles and works of art by influential artists of the Chicano lowrider scene
