USA: Man Shoots Five
05/25/2024 11:21 pm (GMT-0800) SAN FERNANDO, Calif.
The San Fernando Police Department was assisted by the LAPD, LASD, Burbank PD and LAFD in responding to a shooting call of multiple victims in the 900 block of Orange Grove Avenue. Upon arrival, police found four people suffering gunshot wounds. The fifth victim was found at a hospital. That victim self-transported to the hospital while the others were transported by LAFD paramedics. The suspect barricaded himself in a home after the shooting. During the incident, It was reported that the suspect had shot an LAPD Air Unit that was flying overhead. The suspect was removed from the home by police after a brief barricade. The condition of the victims and the cause of the shooting is currently under investigation. Residents of nearby homes were told to evacuate.
The suspect was booked on seven charges of attempted murder, one count of criminal threats, one charge of shooting at an inhabited dwelling and one charge of shooting at an aircraft, reported ABC7 News. He is being held on $9.8 million bail.
The relationship between the suspect and the victims remains unclear at this time.
