Eerie clouds appear over road in Thailand
This is the terrifying moment eerie clouds appeared over a road in Thailand.
Footage shows the huge cloud mass hovering over a highway as astonished onlookers took out their phones to record the phenomenon in Phitsanulok province on May 28.
The formation is said to be a shelf cloud - low, horizontal, and wedge-shaped clouds that form the leading edge of a thunderstorm. It results from cool, dense outflow air lifting warm, moist air ahead of the storm, creating its distinctive appearance.
Shelf clouds often indicate the approach of severe weather, including strong winds, heavy rain, and sometimes hail.
