Philippines: USS Ronald Reagan Leads Valiant Shield 2024 with Allies in Dramatic Display

In a powerful display of military cooperation and readiness, the USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), the U.S. Navy's sole forward-deployed aircraft carrier, has joined forces with ships from the 7th Fleet and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) in the Valiant Shield 2024 exercise.
Sailing in formation alongside the USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19), USS Robert Smalls (CG 62), USS Higgins (DDG 76), and USS Rafael Peralta (DDG 115), the USS Ronald Reagan is accompanied by Japanese vessels including the JS Jingei (SS 515), JS Izumo (DDH 183), and JS Haguro (DDG 180).
Above, a fleet of aircraft, including F/A-18 Super Hornets, U.S. Air Force B-1 Lancer bombers, F-22 Raptor and F-16 Falcon fighters, and Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) Mitsubishi F-2 and F-15 Eagle fighters, as well as reconnaissance and tanker aircraft, conduct a formation flyover in support of the exercise.
