Cat rescued after rooftop fight at Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology, Surabaya
On April 1, 2024, at the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology in Surabaya, Jawa Timur, Indonesia, a dramatic rescue unfolded when a cat named Ireng fell from the Physics Engineering stage on the 2nd floor after a fight with another cat. The incident was captured on video by @bocilcekut, who shared it on social media. Bystanders quickly spread jackets below to catch the cat, which had been clinging precariously to the edge of the roof. Ireng, after scratching and damaging the silicone edge of the roof during the fall, was safely caught and immediately ran off.
