In a tender moment that captured the hearts of many, Tamara Jenäe was reunited with her newborn daughter, Koa, after a week apart. Born a month early due to Tamara’s preeclampsia, Koa had been in the hospital for nearly three weeks while her mother, who lives an hour away, was unable to visit frequently.

Tamara told Newsflare: "We were so emotional but incredibly happy to see each other."

The tiny infant reached out and attempted to hug Tamara twice, creating an unforgettable moment for the family.

Koa was born a month early due to my preeclampsia and had to stay in the hospital for about 3 weeks after I was discharged, we live about an hour away from the hospital, because of that I wasn’t able to get there often this was the first time that we’d seen each other in a week, I kept trying to wake her up so she could see that I was there and when she finally opened her eyes she recognized me immediately and attempted to hug me twice we were so emotional but so happy to see each other.
