Story -
Hurricane Beryl has will soon hammer the Cayman Islands and the Yucatan Peninsula before its final chapter in the Gulf of Mexico that will likely include impacts in eastern Mexico and Texas. Winds are now decreasing in Jamaica following a close scrape with the island.
Current status: Following Jamaica, Beryl will pass near the Cayman Islands with destructive wind gusts and storm surge. On Beryl's eastern flank, bands of rain continue to wrap into parts of eastern Cuba and Jamaica, which could result in flooding and mudslides.
