The polar wave continues and red alerts are spreading across the country: there are already nine provinces facing extreme temperatures, according to the latest update from the National Meteorological Service (SMN) on Wednesday afternoon. CABA, Buenos Aires, La Pampa, Mendoza, San Juan, San Luis, Cordoba, Santa Fe, Entre Rios and Corrientes will be the most affected by the cold.

The early warning system issued warnings for these jurisdictions and for others where orange and yellow alerts are in effect due to adverse weather.

Almost the entire province of Buenos Aires is affected by the freezing temperatures: the central, northern, southern, eastern and western regions are suffering the consequences of the extreme cold. This Wednesday, the neighbours warned, once again, of this situation that began weeks ago and that continues, in spite of the passing of the days.
