Bill Rogers, a 90-year-old Korean War veteran from Manchester, Massachusetts, defied expectations once again by skydiving for the sixth time on Sunday. His reason? To commemorate his anniversary with his late wife, Natalie.
"Every time I jump out of a plane, I can hear her say, 'Billy, you're as crazy as ever,'" Rogers shared moments before taking the plunge at Skydive Pepperell in Pepperell, Massachusetts.
Their love story began decades ago. "When I first saw her, I couldn't keep my eyes off of her," Rogers reminisced. "We held hands, we looked at each other, and we both knew then it was going to be forever."
Despite Natalie's passing seven years ago, Rogers' devotion to her remains steadfast. "She was just an amazing human, I loved her, more than life – still do," he expressed.
For Rogers, the skydive wasn't just a thrill-seeking adventure; it was a profound symbol of celebrating life and love. "This is about celebrating each moment we have together," he emphasized.
As he soared through the air, Rogers felt Natalie's presence. "My wife talked to me all the way down! She said, 'I've got you in my arms,'" he recounted with a smile.
Rogers, known for his adventurous spirit and enduring love, continues to inspire with his zest for life and his dedication to honoring cherished memories.
