A cyclist near Hyde Park, London, angered a bus driver by not cycling in the designated cycle lane.

Footage captured by the rider's helmet camera shows the bus driver shouting at the filmer.

"There's an illustrated lane on the floor for you," the driver says whilst pointing at a cycle lane.

The biker then explains the lane the bus and other vehicles were in is also for cyclists.

After a heated argument, the bus driver is heard saying: "Enough of that mate, move on you bell***!"

The cyclist who goes by Axolotol on social media told Newsflare: "Every lane is a cycle lane. Professional bus driver thinks cyclist cannot use the main lane. Beeps the horn then tries to tell me that I must use the cycle lane.

"We are actually both being blocked by the queue of cars at the lights but he chooses to focus on the cyclist and cycle lane instead. Cyclists can use any lane except motorway lanes.

"The cycle lane the bus driver is referring to is very short and to allow cyclists to enter the park or protected cycle lane which goes through the park further along.

"I was not going into the park so stayed in the centre of the lane to go straight ahead. The safest place to ride is often the centre of the lane to avoid dangerous passes."

According to the Highway Code on cycling lanes: "While such facilities are provided for reasons of safety, cyclists may exercise their judgement and are not obliged to use them."
