Giraffe accidentally kills calf while defending against lion in Maasai Mara, Kenya
On July 19, 2024, @maxwellsunsetphotography captured a tragic incident at Maasai Mara National Reserve, Narok, Kenya. A giraffe, attempting to defend her calf from a chasing lioness, mistakenly kicked the calf instead of the predator, causing the calf to fall immediately. In the video shared online, @maxwellsunsetphotography explained, "In this video, a giraffe kills her own calf due to a perplexing and tragic misunderstanding. The giraffe was totally confused by the presence of a lioness, which led to this unfortunate incident."
