A flash flood warning has been issued for New York, including Southeastern Bergen County, Bronx County, Northwestern Nassau County, Manhattan, and South Central Westchester County. The warning was issued due to thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the area, with between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain having already fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in an hour, with additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches possible. The flash flooding is affecting small creeks and streams, urban areas,highways, streets, underpasses, and other areas with poor drainage and low-lying areas. Locations that will experience flash flooding include Yonkers, New Rochelle, Mott Haven, East Tremont, Hackensack, Glen Cove, Bergenfield, Rye, Ridgefield, Great Neck, Throgs Neck Bridge, Harlem, Riverdale, Co-op City, Fort Lee, Englewood, Port Washington, Bronxville, City Island, and Sands Point.
