A dad is attempting to bike around the entire coastline of mainland Britain in just 15 days - covering more than 5,000 miles.

Josh Richardson, 35, set off from Withernsea Pier in Yorkshire on his KTM 1290 Super Duke GT on September 5.

He is following a route around the edges of England, Wales and Scotland - and hopes to arrive back at his starting point on September 19.

Already nine days into the challenge, production technician Josh, from Hull, has been riding for up to nine hours a day.

He is taking on the feat to raise money for Andy's Man Club, a suicide prevention charity.

Josh has been staying with kind strangers who offered up their help after reading about his journey online.

The dad-of- two said: "People are finding me on Facebook and are giving me the option of an hotel or Airbnb."

"The fuel, food and accommodation - it's all covered now. It has been provided by other people who have offered to lend a hand."

"People messaged me on Facebook and wanted to meet me, to ride with me and have a drink with. "

"A group of 10 lads met me in the Isle of Wight in the rain, just so they could ride with me."

"That is what this challenge is all about."

Josh has been travelling with all of his gear - and stops to wash his clothes every few days.

He said: "I've got four days' worth of clothes, camping stuff, my laptop, a few spares, tools, drones, and cameras."

So far he has raised £36,270 - which has easily surpassed his £5,000 target.
