Newsflare Exclusive- A breathtaking lightning storm lit up the skies over Key West, Florida, and the Saddlebunch Keys as Hurricane Milton approached on October 9, 2024. The relentless lightning, lasting nearly an hour, was recorded in a two-minute video by a resident at mile marker 15.

Nonstop lightning that lasted for almost an hour. This is a two minute long video that I recorded from our backyard at mile marker 15 outside of Key West. It is looking across the water at the lightning storm. This is not edited or sped up in any way. At one point in the video I speak, but you can hear the strong winds. At this point in time, the center of the hurricane was northwest of us. There is a strange light in the sky in the upper right hand corner of the video that does not move, I am unsure what that is.
