They also expressed their commitment to working with China to safeguard free trade and economic globalization. Highlighting sustaining global economic growth as a major challenge, President Xi called for countries to collaborate to build an open global economic system, focusing on innovation and seizing opportunities in areas like digital economy, AI, and low-carbon technologies. He also warned against protectionist approaches such as decoupling and severing supply chains and emphasized the economic interdependence as an opportunity for mutual benefit rather than a risk. President Xi also briefed them China's recent significant policy actions, noting that after 40 years of rapid growth, China has entered a stage of high-quality development, contributing around 30 percent to global economic growth. He pledged that China will continue to drive the world's economic engine, expanding openness and aligning with international trade rules.
