A man of non-EU origin blocks traffic in the evening on a small street near Termini Station in Rome.
21/12/2024 - Rome, Italy. A man of non-EU origin blocks traffic in the evening on a small street near Termini Station. A troubled and profoundly changing Italian society, with the worsening of the middle class crisis and growing concerns about migratory flows: this is the photograph that Censis takes for the 2024 Report, released last December 6. Among the many elements that emerge from the report, 57.4% of Italians "feel threatened - writes and argues Censis - by those who want to root in our country rules and habits that contrast with the consolidated Italian lifestyle, such as the separation of men and women in public spaces or the full Islamic veil" and continues "A solid middle class could neutralize identity divergences, diluting them through a widely shared social agenda. Its weakening today makes the country no longer immune to the risk of identity traps".
The man in the video was about to be hit by the car he is blocking while he was about to cross the street. The driver of the car, while crossing the intersection, made a curious detour, stopping the car a few dozen centimeters from the man's feet.
