Last December 23, a tree, pushed by a gust of wind, crushed the life of Francesca Ianni, 45, mother of three children, and seriously injured her friend who was sitting with her on the bench in Livio Labor park, in the Colli Aniene neighborhood, at the time when Piazza Pia was being reopened to the public following the redevelopment works for the Jubilee. The woman died in front of her children, who remained unharmed, while they were playing not far from her. The Rome prosecutor's office has seized the area and opened a case for manslaughter against unknown persons. Under the magnifying glass of the Roman magistrates possible errors in the maintenance of the tree.
