Ramona, United States - January 14, 2025 Dramatic video footage shows the aftermath of the Pamo Fire, which broke out early on January 14 near the intersection of Pamo and West Haveford Roads in Ramona, California. The fire ignited just after 6:30 a.m. and rapidly burned across four acres of land. Initial reports suggested it was about 10 acres in size, but thanks to the swift response of firefighting crews, the blaze was stopped, and the size was revised down. At least one structure was threatened, but no significant damage was reported. CAL FIRE and San Diego County Fire crews continued working on-site to reinforce control lines and mitigate any additional hazards. The cause of the fire was determined to be tied to smoking, according to CAL FIRE.
