Ants Eat Hornbill
Occurred on November 17, 2024 / Umkumbe Bush Lodge, Roodepoort, South Africa
Info from Licensor: "This hornbill was most likely sick and not feeling well. It sat on an ant nest. The ants took this advantage to score a meal. The Hornbill seems to be a little disturbed but not in distress at all. It just sits on the ant hill, shaking and hopping on the mound. We first thought it might have been anting, but after asking some mentors, they informed us that the ants were indeed eating the hornbill."
