El Pinar, Spain - January 21, 2025 Salvamento Marítimo has transferred to the port of La Restinga, in El Hierro, the 46 occupants of a dinghy located 4.8 kilometers south of the island, while the rescue of another vessel with about 60 people on board is being carried out in the south of Tenerife. Maritime Rescue sources have reported that the cayuco transferred to El Hierro was detected by echo-sounding, and the Salvamar Adhara was dispatched to the area, which, along with a Red Cross vessel, transported them to the port.There are 46 sub-Saharan individuals, including four women, in good health.
