26/01/2025 - Rome, Italy. Protesters show protest signs during the sit-in to demand justice for the victims of the accident at the Novi Sad station, in which 15 people lost their lives and in solidarity with the protests against the Serbian government of Vučić, organized by some Serbian students in Italy in Rome. During the sit-in, the protesters remained silent for 15 minutes, one minute for each victim of the collapse of the shelter at the Novi Sad station on November 1st. After the accident at the Novi Sad train station, anger exploded in the country and protests are organized every week against Vučić's Serbian government. Many in Serbia blame the deadly collapse on government corruption that led to sloppy renovations at the station building, part of a larger deal with Chinese state firms involved in a number of infrastructure projects in the country.
