The information stand of Arcigay Roma on which the rainbow flag has been laid out where the Baci Perugina are placed and which are distributed to passers-by on the occasion of the initiative ‘The Same Kiss’ organized by Gay Center with Arcigay on Valentine's Day to raise awareness on the issue of homotransphobia. Also this year, on the occasion of Valentine's Day, for the 14th year, in various Italian cities the initiative ‘The Same Kiss’ is organized by Gay Center with Arcigay and in which other Associations of the Gay world participate. The initiative was also made possible thanks to Baci, the traditional chocolate and hazelnut sweet that lovers exchange on Valentine's Day, which Perugina donated for the cause and which are distributed by activists to passers-by to draw attention to a problem that increasingly risks filling the news with tragedies. In Rome, according to the Gay Center, an association that manages the anti-homotransphobia contact center Gay Help Line, in 2024 there were 3600 cases of homotransphobic attacks and 2025 opened with an attack on two couples of young people. The organizers report that “in recent days Arcigay itself met with the Minister for Equal Opportunities Eugenia Roccella, asking for a decisive intervention against homotransphobia. From Roccella only listening and no proposals, while an entire community is under attack.”
