Five canyoning enthusiasts found themselves stranded, cut off, and unable to escape the deluge on their own. Spain’s Guardia Civil sprang into action, with the elite GREIM mountain rescue team stepping in to save the day. One by one, the soaked and shivering group was hoisted to safety using ropes in a nail-biting operation. The relentless downpour had left the canyoneers missing and out of contact, battling nature’s fury.
